Our Story
Desert Disciples for Christ exists to inspire Catholics in the Coachella Valley to boldly live out their faith in every area of life: personal, spiritual, and communal. Rooted in the beauty and tradition of the Catholic Church, our mission is to bring the light of Christ into the desert and beyond, transforming hearts and culture with the eternal truths of our faith.

We are called to lead with love by bridging faith and everyday life, uniting families and communities, and connecting prayer with action. Through authentic fellowship, meaningful formation, and the celebration of the sacraments, we aim to deepen our relationship with Christ and encourage others to do the same.

Desert Disciples for Christ is more than an organization; it is a movement of faith-driven individuals committed to living the Gospel and leaving a legacy of faith, excellence, and service in the Coachella Valley community. Many of our members have been together for over 20 years and counting.

"I didn't know how much I would come to enjoy the fellowship of the Desert Disciples for Christ Catholic social group, when I was first invited as a guest. It only took that one invitation for me to want to part of each meeting, each Rosary, each Mass, each speaker, each cocktail hour and each dinner. Getting to meet other catholics from parishes around the valley has also been great. Who knew worshiping together and sharing so much, could be so fulfilling and fun!"

“It was several years ago when I was invited by a friend to attend the DDC as a guest. I wasn’t entirely certain of what to expect other than a room full of people that I didn’t know. But what I discovered was a group of Catholics from different cities and backgrounds coming together with a common purpose and belief. I love attending mass, but in getting acquainted with the members of the DDC, I found that this rosary and this mass were even more special, because as we all came to know each other, we were truly celebrating the Mass as friends. Faith is a journey, and it is one in which we are not meant to walk alone. In today’s fast-paced world, it can be challenging to find spaces where faith, fellowship, and purpose come together in meaningful ways. That is why communities like Desert Disciples for Christ are so important. They offer a place where we can grow spiritually, support one another, and work together to bring Christ’s light into our homes and throughout the Coachella Valley. This is more than just a gathering; it is a network of believers striving to live their faith authentically and inspire transformation in every aspect of their lives.
Desert Disciples for Christ was born from a simple but powerful vision: to create a space where faith-driven individuals could come together to strengthen one another and bring Christ’s presence into every corner of our desert community. For years, I felt a calling to connect people who shared a desire to deepen their relationship with God while making a tangible difference in the world around them. This ministry is the fulfillment of that vision. It is a movement rooted in faith, fellowship, and a shared mission to be a light in the desert and beyond.
